After a balanced first half, Vincent Mahiga broke the deadlock three minutes into the second period, reacting quickest to slot home a rebound after Kelly Madada’s shot was parried by Mathare goalkeeper Kevin Ouru.
Ingwe controlled the match throughout, with Julius Masaba dictating play in midfield. The pressure paid off again late on when James Kinyanjui doubled the lead in the 85th minute, finishing off a clever pass from Masaba to seal the points.
The win follows Leopards’ earlier triumphs over KCB and Shabana, taking their winning streak to three matches and cementing their climb up the table after a slow start to the season.
At the Police Sacco Stadium, Kenya Police FC returned to domestic action with a barren draw against Posta Rangers.
The stalemate came just a week after the law enforcers’ elimination from the CAF Champions League by Sudan’s Al Hilal (4–1 on aggregate) and was notably their first match without coach Etienne Ndayiragije, who departed midweek.
Both sides created half-chances in an evenly contested affair, but poor finishing and disciplined defending kept the game goalless. For Rangers, it was a missed chance to climb further up the table, while Police showed defensive resilience but lacked sharpness in the final third.
Murang’a Seal claimed their second win of the season, edging KCB FC 2–1 in a spirited home display at St. Sebastian Park.
Osama opened the scoring just before halftime with a well-placed strike, before Joe Waithera sealed the victory in the 88th minute after KCB had momentarily drawn level.
The defeat marks KCB’s fourth loss of the season, intensifying pressure on their technical bench, while Seal’s late surge lifts them clear of the relegation zone and injects much-needed confidence into their campaign.
At Bukhungu, Kakamega Homeboyz and Tusker FC played out an entertaining 1–1 draw, with both sides showcasing their attacking pedigree in a game of two halves.
Homeboyz dominated early proceedings, with Gedeon Bendeka and Josphat Lopaga combining well but missing key chances. Erick Kapaito and Dennis Oguta threatened for Tusker, yet neither side found a breakthrough before the break.
Tusker struck first in the 61st minute when substitute Dennis Oalo latched onto Fabian Adikiny’s through ball to chip past goalkeeper Edwin Mukolwe. However, Oliver Majaka, lively since coming on, fired in a thunderous equaliser in the 87th minute to rescue a point for the hosts.
The draw keeps Homeboyz top of the table with 14 points, while Tusker continue their gradual climb after a strong away performance.
APS Bomet earned their first clean sheet of the season in a hard-fought goalless draw against Bidco United.
The newly promoted side showed marked defensive improvement after struggling in previous outings, frustrating a Bidco attack that lacked precision in front of goal. The point gives Bomet a foundation to build on as they seek their first league win, while Bidco will rue missed chances in a game they largely controlled.
In the late kickoff, traditional champions Gor Mahia were held to a 1–1 draw by Ulinzi Stars in a tense battle at Kasarani.
Felix Oluoch gave Gor a dream start in the sixth minute, capitalising on a defensive lapse to score their opener. However, Boniface Muchiri restored parity midway through the first half with a composed finish, marking the first goal Gor have conceded from open play this season.
